The 18th Annual American Men’s Studies Association Conference in Atlanta March 25-28, 2010, invites papers, panels, undergraduate and graduate roundtables as well as poster presentations addressing the critical examination of masculinities and men’s lives. We invite proposals that draw from academic, clinical, educational services and related professions based upon fully developed work as well as projects in progress that are grounded in theoretical, research, clinical, educational or related applications.
The Conference theme is “Growing Our Field: Emerging Perspectives on Masculinities and Men’s Lives.” The conference provides a unique interdisciplinary forum of scholars, practitioners and students in which to make a contribution and receive support for work related to men/masculinities and for developing the field of men’s studies.
For further information — Download the Call for Papers and Participation (pdf).
Paper proposals will be accepted only by online submission.
You can submit them here.
The deadline for submissions is December 15, 2009.
All proposals for papers and other presentations must be submitted online for AMSA XVIII through AMSA’s website to facilitate the process of submission and evaluation of proposals. AMSA Vice President and Conference Director, Don Levy developed a portal to do so to streamline and enhance a process entirely that involves those who make the proposals but also the numerous scholars who evaluate them. There is a limit of three proposals per person.
