When we engage male-identified students on campuses, it is often from a conduct model, a “boys will be boys” approach, or a methodology that assumes that the privilege that comes from being male-identified in America warrants less need for services, attention, and resources.
Research however, indicates that fewer men are entering college, graduating, and seeking advanced degrees. How can we better engage male-identified students and the variety of masculinities they represent? How can we assist male-identified students in seeking out masculinities that fit who they are and not what society tells them they should be? We invite you to a summit with some of the preeminent thinkers and scholars engaged in this work to learn more and to dialogue with colleagues from a cross-section of higher education fields.
