NORMA: INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL FOR MASCULINITY STUDIES is looking for a third managing editor.
NORMA is an international journal which promotes empirical and theoretically advanced research on masculinity in its multiple forms. As such, NORMA is concerned with questions about the body, sexuality, cultural and social practices in relation to men and masculinities. The journal started in the Nordic region but now has a global scope.
The editorial team is looking for a third managing editor that will work together with us to develop the journal further. The editorial team consists of an editor-in-chief, two managing editors and one editorial secretary. In addition, we are supported by our three senior co-editors and our advisory board.
We have high ambition for the future. In addition to a steadily increasing inflow of submissions, we are intending to expand our geographical and thematic scopes. In particular we are looking for an experienced mid-career scholar with an explicit focus on masculinity studies in their own work. While the current team is located in the Nordic region, we would very much welcome candidates from other geographical locations. A managing editor position is normally limited to a 3-4 year commitment.
- A one page mission statement of how you would like to develop the journal and the field of masculinity studies in relation to the position
- A documented CV
- A personal letter stating your interest in the position.
